Welcome to our charity website. We are here to enable local people with disabilities to come sailing on Windermere. Blackwell Sailing has been doing this since 1993 and is a registered charity. We are also an RYA Training Centre and have Accreditation with RYA Sailability.

Blackwell Sailing friends say thank you to David HallJEC_1779

Sailors, volunteers and supporters gathered to honour David Hall to mark his retirement on board MV Swift for a cruise on Windermere. 92 friends gathered on June 10th 2022, for food and music that accompanied a cake, card and presentation gift to say thank you for being the founder/manager of Blackwell Sailing for over 25 years. Update re David Hall and a New Charity Manager/Sailing Principal:jonny-cormack

David retired as manager of Blackwell Sailing at the end of February 2022. The trustees are grateful to David for all his work over the years, and are delighted to announce that Jonny Cormack will be the new manager/principal from January 2022. Click here for a full news update.

We are planning to run activities, within all official Covid guidelines for Health and Safety, in 2022. Please contact us if you are a regular user or a group wanting visit us in this year.
